Fequently Asked Questions

Q: What happens during a Botox treatment?

A:
Botox treatments are unique in that they can be used to remove dynamic wrinkles -- the wrinkles that are produced by facial movement. First the skin is treated with a topical numbing agent, and you may be given a sedative as well. Next, very small amounts of Botox are strategically injected in different parts of the face. This is accomplished with thin needles that cause very little pain. The results of the procedure are generally visible within 3 to 5 days. Although results vary, results of an individual treatment last for about 4 to 6 months.

Q: What are the benefits of a chemical peel?

A:
A chemical peel can restore a more youthful appearance to wrinkled, unevenly pigmented, sun-damaged, or blotchy skin. However, a peel cannot reverse the aging process or completely remove deep scars. Wrinkled skin that is loose and sagging may also require a face-lift, laser resurfacing treatment, or combination of procedures for best results.

Q: Are there treatments that can be done in your office for unwanted facial or body hair?

A:
The CoolGlide system can is an FDA approved system that can disable hundreds of hair follicles in less than one second, and promises long-lasting results for all skin types. The CoolGlide can remove hair from all parts of the body including the face, legs, arms, underarms, and back, as well as sensitive areas. With CoolGlide's unique design, we have the flexibility to treat all skin types. Now even suntanned patients or those with darker pigmentation may be treated.
